Pinecastle Florida Bombing Range Information

Pinecastle Range Complex is a COMNAVAIRLANT Aircrew Combat Training Range under administrative control of Fleet Area Control and Surveillance Facility, Jacksonville, Florida (FACSFACJAX - SEALORD).

The range is located in the Ocala National Forest area of Central Florida about 45 miles west of Daytona Beach. The range is made up of 3 areas as depected on the map below. The red marker is the Pinecastle Impact Range. The blue marker is Rodman Range. The yellow marker is Lake George Range.

The majority of the infomation below came from an unclassified document dated 2012. From listening to aircraft using the Pinecastle Complex the frequencies listed in this document are still in use today.

If you're interested in monitoring activity at the complex, it is a very active range. Here is a summary of frequencies:

Pinecasle Targets: 225.3500 MHz
Rodman Targets: 313.7250 MHz
Lake George Targets: 261.2500 MHz
SEALORD: 289.2000 MHz

If you're in the area I strongly suggest you program the other SEALORD frequenices as they are probably the most active MilAir freqs in Florida. You will hear comms daily! If you don't, you better connect your antenna! You can get the rest of SEALORD freqs by Clicking Here.

The primary purpose of the Pinecastle Range Complex is to provide an environment wherein aircrews may learn the proper maneuvering tactics and weapons delivery techniques required while delivering weapons to targets within a potentially hostile environment; thus enhancing the potential for increased aircrew survivability and weapons delivery accuracy through proven tactics and maneuvering techniques. The Pinecastle Range Complex is used in support of U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aircrew training requirements. Civilian DoD personnel with reporting responsibilities to the Commanding Officer, FACSFACJAX, manage the Pinecastle Range Complex. An Operations and Maintenance Service contractor provides operation and maintenance support.
